If I can't have a new book of yours every few weeks, I will gladly take butt + chair. Fantastic writing with humor in little, delicious bites. Thank you!
I just read The English Understand Wool and thought it was such a find! I in fact did find it, it in a little library box. I’d never heard of the author before.
Since you were talking frozen and blueberries but not frozen blueberries, I just thought I'd mention that if you can get Wyman's frozen wild blueberries, they are outstanding. Very flavorful and small enough to quickly thaw when thrown (even in large quantities) into a bowl of oatmeal.
Also, thank you for the soup (and writing) tips. We had gnocchi soup tonight, which I freehand from a long-forgotten recipe and for once contained a good balance of carrots, bell peppers, and spinach. I went overboard on the carrots last time and the flavor was all out of whack. I'm sure this is an analogy to something in my writing.
I concur with the comments above and that one doesn’t need a recipe. Still, your soups look so good, would you mind giving us some general recipes re the above pics of soups?
I always love your footnotes. Also, thank you for your bold assertion that celery is a trash vegetable. I am right there with you.
The bread and cheese you get to eat with soup is a definite bonus.

If you’re a no fish veg and don’t know, Worcestershire sauce usually contains anchovies.

Mouth-watering pictures and inspiring chat. What could be better?
You have a Thiebaud Pic in this one!
